Todd W. Hunt
Todd W. Hunt has been with Hunt Financial Services since 1998. He has worked for many years advising his clients and managing significant assets. Todd realizes the value of what he’s learned during the volatile economic turns of the late 1990s, early 2000s, and certainly the recession of 2008 and subsequent recovery. Todd focuses on the needs of his clients to address their goals while remaining true to each client’s own tolerance for risk. Besides managing the stock, bond, and mutual fund portfolios of his clients, Todd also handles small business retirement plans and client insurance needs. Todd appreciates having a practice that is supported by the referrals of his existing clients and therefore being able to focus on asset management rather than sales.
Todd is fortunate to be married to a great woman and incredible mother of their three children. Married since 1998, they reside in the community of University City near the Hunt Financial Services office. Todd feels very fortunate to be in such a great neighborhood with terrific schools and a very close-knit community.
Todd has spent many years in volunteer leadership positions with the YMCA Adventure Guides Program through the La Jolla YMCA and recently served on the YMCA’s Board of Management. He also has been a supporter of JDF (Juvenile Diabetes Foundation) and the ADA (American Diabetes Association) as well as other health and welfare-oriented charities and the local schools. Todd believes charitable giving should be an important part of each of our financial plans… and lives.
As many clients are often surprised to learn, Todd is a lifelong martial artist. He is a black belt in tae kwon do, a black belt in tae ki do, a brown belt in traditional Goju-ryu karate and currently trains in Brazilian jiu jitsu with world champion Eduardo “Telles” Moreira. Remaining healthy through martial arts has been a big part of Todd’s life since his childhood. He also loves camping, hiking, backpacking, and surfing and has been a volunteer coach for many of his local sports teams.
